Reviews and Ratings
The hotel definitely needs some improvements, like an upgrade, since it seemed a bit tired. The staff were very welcoming and polite, but the noise from guests made it hard to rest at night. Despite being close to where we needed to be, there were some maintenance issues in the room like sharp edges and coffee stains. The breakfast was just okay, and the location was convenient for our visit to the Haydock Racecourse.
The hotel had a quiet room above the marquee perfect for the race weekend, although it felt cold and could use some updates. The service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, with the staff going above and beyond to assist. The location was convenient for business, although some areas showed signs of wear and tear. The dining experience had its highs and lows, with a fantastic start but slight downhill trend. Overall, a mixed experience with room for improvement.
The hotel really needs a complete refurbishment as the rooms were very spacious but had a strong smell of disinfectant and urine. Despite being dated and in a state of disrepair, the inn suited our purpose well and was located conveniently close to the Haydock racecourse. The breakfast wasn't up to expectations, but the staff were professional and served us with care. However, the pricing was reasonable, and the sports on the TVs were a nice touch.
